Pastor Anya C. Oko was born on the 9th of May, 1974 to the family of Elder and Mrs. Oko Ifegwu of Nkporo in Ohafia L.G.A, Abia State. He is the second of eight children. He attended Clifford Road Primary School and Wilcox Memorial Comprehensive Secondary School all in Aba. He has a Distinction HND in Computer Science from Abia State Polytechnic, Aba, a Bachelor’s Degree in Religious Studies from University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State and a Master’s Degree in Religion and Society from Abia State University Uturu. He also has a diploma in Theology from Assemblies of God Divinity School of Nigeria...
He started his ministry at age 11 with the early periods spent majorly in the music ministry. He has lead several music choirs and groups including Later Rain, Citadel Praise Choir and BOP Choir. He is a music instructor and a gifted singer. He has written many songs including the famed “Anyi n’aja gin ma”. He has produced a music album “I Dey Higher”.
He started Real Life Assembly, Assemblies of God Church in 2002 and pastored it for five years before leaving to found Royalty Assembly International (The Joseph Place) in January 2008. As one of the fastest growing churches in Nigeria, the church has branches in major cities in Nigeria including a national headquarters in Lagos.
Pastor Anya is a trail blazer. He believes in passionate pursuit of God-given purpose. He is critical thinker, an extra-ordinary teacher, a counselor, a relationship expert, a life coach, and a result oriented leader. He has written four books including: And He Showed Her Mercy, Fulfill Your Destiny; Dominate Your World, A Case for the Prosperity of The Church and Love 101. He is working on several other books. Through his preaching, teaching and writing ministries, he has helped thousands of mostly people navigate their way out of the murky waters of indecent relationships, destructive lifestyles and insignificance. He is committed to raising a generation of radical worldchangers who will prove that the word of God is applicable and relevant in our contemporary times. His utmost passion is to see the kingdom of God established in the society.
Pastor Anya believes that education is a key facilitator of destiny actualization. He founded Hope Awards, a foundation that seeks to help raise funds for students of higher institutions. To date the foundation has given out many hundred thousand to student in various schools. He wants to provide affordable education and health care for people.
Pastor Anya Oko is happily married to the love of his life. Mummy Amazing Nkechi Anya has been a strong backbone for his life and ministry over the years. The nine year old marriage has produced two lovely girls—Exela and Evlon, and two awesome boys—Onnez and Kehleon.
